 Best baby "chew toy"...even before teething April 7, 2010

My daughter has loved this "chew toy" since she was 3 months old. She isn't teething yet (8 months) but still adores this giraffe. In fact, we have 3 of them...one for baby bag, one for home, and one at grammy's house. The price is fantastic. At a local toy store, they charge $18 for just one! GREAT DEAL for two with Amazon. And quick shipping.

I would highly recommend this item. I would also recommend that this item be given to the baby early. I gave one to a 6 month old and she loved it. She won't put it down. I gave one to an 8 month old and he just throws it. The 6 month old now has 4 teeth in and the 8 month old is still trying to get a tooth to break through. I am a believer!

I only recently found out what a hit Sophie the Giraffe is with babies, while attending a baby shower. All the new mothers raved about it and considered it a "must" for any baby. Having just become a grandmother for the first time this February, I of course had to see what all the fuss was about. I searched many sites and found Amazon to have the best deal, even though I had to purchase two of them. I figured if it was so wonderful, I'd have an extra one to give to my next grandchild or someone else. I was not disappointed. My grandson loves it. It's been a perfect teething toy right now, and to see him chomping on it, you'd think it was a t-bone steak for babies!To see him with it, it must feel great on his gums. I can see him liking it for a while, especially the squeak it makes, when he's older and can do it himself. I would highly recommend it for any baby just starting to hold on to things, and trying to get anything into his/her mouth.

I was skepticle about paying $20 for a rubber giraffe that squeaks. But after getting it, my girl loves to chew on the legs. It keeps her content when her gums are bothering her.
